Plus size women fashion tips: Looking good in lingerie – Part 2
Very Very soft lights…candles are preferable.
It is not the lingerie that is the problem it’s the spider veins and the folds of fat that won’t tuck in and the idea that your spouse or other would even want to see you in a piece of lingerie.
That is when you know a person loves you for what you look like is when they can get aroused by the sight of you in lingerie. I thankfully am that lucky.
It sure took alot of brow beating to try on lingerie anyways. You just gotta find the one that makes you feel the most covered up and the most sexy. It’s your comfort range that has to be assessed not theirs.
It is no different than shopping for pants or shirts, mind you a little more traumatic but no difference, you still have to try it all on look in a mirror and decide if you can be comfortable in it.
Lingerie also has to be something that makes you feel like your a princess even if just in the moment and good lingerie shops that want your income and sell to obese women should be very helpful in helping you assess your style.
Buy only what your comfortable in and what you feel you personally can get away with. I have an obese friend who loves wearing lingerie under her clothes, granted I have worn a piece or two myself but never usually a whole outfit under my clothes it would be to much clothing for me, but hey if that is where her comfort zone is I say,…you go girl!
I digress, as usual, The only tip there is for heavy women looking good in lingerie is go, try it on, and find the one you think shows off all the stuff you want it to. Life is to short to live in fear, don’t be intimidated it can be fun.
Plus size women fashion tips: What not to wear – Part 19
Plus-size Fashion Pointers for a more Glamorous You
First, accept yourself.
Then, fit your clothes to your body.
Finally, flatter what is special about you.
First, accept yourself.
Whether you are trying to lose weight or not, the one thing you CAN change is you mind about yourself. Make up your mind to like yourself even if you have to make a list of your good qualities, (ask your friends if you really can’t list more than a couple qualities- you may be pleasantly surprised.) Then repeat them to yourself when you don’t feel so good about yourself.
Stop thinking that thin is better; bony is every bit as unattractive as overly obese. The trick is to try and be or look like you’re somewhere in the middle!
Then, carry yourself with pride; stand up straight when you walk that trick alone can give you a slimmer, more attractive look.
Then, fit your clothes to your body.
Your clothing should skim the contours of your body, not expose every bulge and ripple. “FIT” doesn’t mean that you can get the zipper to zip, or squeeze yourself into it and manage to breathe it means that you can move, walk, sit, bend, and actually feel good in the garment! Nothing destroys an attractive look quicker than a wearer who has to pull, tug, or be otherwise preoccupied with her clothes. Check out the view from the rear, and move in the garment.
Use softer, darker tones on the parts of your body that you want to minimize. For example, if you have an over-abundant backside, a bold pattern on a loose fitting skirt calls the eye to it, and to the “jiggle” factor. That takes away from YOU as a person.
Finally, flatter what is special about you.
Do you have a great smile? A pretty face/hands/hair? Draw attention to your good points by placing colorful accessories that coordinate with what you are wearing near your good features. Earrings draw the eye to the face and smile; a scarf around the shoulders draws the eye up to the head. Softer colors on the body, bolder tones of the colors in jewelry and accessories create a look of balance that will present you to the world as finished, polished and attractive.
What NOT to wear? Stop wearing a negative expression! Finding clothes that feel good and are put together well will boost your confidence; let that show! Top off your new look with a smile and you will receive smiles in return.
