It’s All In The Cake

Marie Antoinette may have uttered the infamous words “Let them eat cake,” but who knew that centuries later people would be wearing it.

Cake Beauty is a 100% Canadian innovation in the beauty industry. Starting in her kitchen in 2001, Heather Reier concocted various products that smell so good you would want to eat them. Every detail was taken into consideration when Heather created her own line of beauty products. So as a fellow lover of the products I say “Let them wear Cake.”

Heather Reier has been quoted as saying “Cake Beauty believes in the value and importance of indulgence. Indulgence is good. Women everywhere deserve a moment in their lives to indulgeour goal is to transform that moment to everyday.”

Cake Beauty is the greatest indulgence ever and women don’t have to worry about putting on the weight.

The new products on the market now deal with a climate neutral and planet friendly affair. Sales from this new line, which they have called “Give Twice”, will donate proceeds to Zerofootprint in order to plant trees. What better way to not only shop for gifts but also give back to the planet.

Found in almost every magazine, Cake Beauty has taken the world by storm.

So go ahead. Pop open a bottle and watch all your worries go away when you rejuvenate your birthday suit with Cake Beauty.

Men Looking For Beauty Products

SKIN CREAMS FOR MEN : BANE OR BOON?

Having men use cosmetics is unlikely due to the thought that men are not given a special place with make-up. Though lipstick and eye shadow are not what is meant herewith but lotion and other skin care products, men’s skin has not been given much concern until dermatologists considered their needs a few years back.

If we look at the skin care products in shelves today, we will find skin care creams for men to be as rampant as women’s, but it had not been so for the past few years. There were more cosmetics intended for women’s use and men’s skin care was either forgotten or perhaps scientific research for their skin type was not given much attention due to the majority of female cosmetics users. What motivated dermatologists into testing items for men’s use were the factors brought about by weather, technology, demand, hygiene, and temperature.

A basic study on skin cancer and skin ailments showed that women are not the only ones prone to irregular skin patching, but men are probable victims too. Skin cancer, a common result of low skin care, knows no target—both men and women are affected. For this reason, men are becoming conscious in giving proper care of their skin just as how other women become vain when it comes to skin care.

Therefore skin care is no longer exclusive for women; men have been given a spot in it too. The use of moisturizers is beneficial to men as much as it helps women. Regardless of the fact that men have tougher and rougher skin when compared to women, skin cancer, mild skin irritation allergies can still occur when proper hygiene and skincare is not given enough attention.

Skin creams for men are now available in the market, and the population of men using these skin care products is on the rise. More men are using these products when engaging themselves in outdoor activities. The threat of too much exposure to the sun has created consciousness among men to be just as cautious as women are. A threat, which can be properly taken care of with the help of these special advances made for men when it comes to skin care.

What You Need To Know When Choosing A Beauty Product

When you are out shopping and you are trying to decide on a beauty product, you will need to consider these several things first. By taking time and effort beforehand you will be able to choose smartly on a beauty product that is excellent for you, and so obviously the time and effort spent beforehand will be well worth it in the end.

Beauty Product Considerations

1, If you have any allergies you need to take this into consideration because you would not want to buy a beauty product that could affect your health. So please make sure you check the ingredients that make up the beauty product.

2, Take into consideration your skin type. If you have oily skin for example you don’t want to buy a Beauty Product that enhances your oily skin, the same would apply if you have dry skin you would not want a Beauty Product that will dry skin even more.

3, You also want to take cost into consideration as while some expensive beauty products are worth it there are of course some that are far too expensive. It can take some time to determine if products are worth buying or not but in the long run and can save you a lot of money.

4, Shop around and look for the best price but make sure you buy from a reputable dealer. Their are some great deals to be had on the internet but make sure you check them out first.

a lot of beauty stores will let you try the products on as testers before you purchase them, this is what you really want so you can see which beauty products work with your skin, hair and what ever else. you can quite easily make a day of this and enjoy trying out all the beauty products that are on offer.

Makeup Beauty Products and Different Kinds of Makeup

As a woman I am very attach to cosmetics. I can not handle to go to the office with out makeup. I admit my bag has a lot of makeup beauty products which include: facial powder, lip gloss and lipstick, blush on, eye shadows, and mascara. I just hate it to see if my face is very oily or my lips are cracked. Maybe not all women have great interest of makeup beauty products but now, it seems like, if you are not using any of it, you will feel left behind.

Our facial skin is oily. It is kind of ugly and dull if we wander on public faces wearing that pale and oily faces. It will just take a simple step if you really want to learn. Whether if it is day or night, if you are at a party, or just strolling on streets, applying makeup also depends on the occasions and places.

There are five kinds of makeup to be considered: street makeup, theatrical makeup, natural or straight makeup, makeup for photography, and corrective makeup.

The street makeup is the one that is available everywhere and can sometimes cost less money. Buying street makeup it is understood you will not be singing opera under thousands of watts of theatrical lighting. Usually it is designed for light, personal, and everyday use.

The theatrical makeup on the other hand is heavily pigmented so that it does not washout under the bright lights of the stage. It will holdup under physical stress such as dancing or singing with sweaty tenors. The style will vary with the size of the stage and audience. “Intimate” theater is a small stage, close to a small audience. Makeup for intimate theater is much more normal looking compared to makeup for a large theater where facial expressions must be projected for a thousand feet.

The normal or straight makeup is best when making a film or a video. Makeup for this application is very precise because it is assumed a shot can be made weeks apart from others that will match into the scene. Just see to it that the color is steady or consistent.

Makeup for still photography follows the same logic as makeup for film and video, except for the fact that a flash is often used. Makeup for black and white photography is supposed to be very specialized.

Corrective makeup is for people who have something to hide like scars, birthmarks and other skin discoloration. For example, if you are only trying to hide a few zits, use a “cover-up” type makeup on the spots rather than overdo it with foundation.

You can freely use makeup beauty products as long as you know what you will look like after. If you think that it is good for you look in the mirror, then go for it. Mirrors never lie anyway. For sure you can erase makeup right? What is good to makeup is that, you can reapply it anytime and anywhere you want to.

I believe there are some women who don’t like to use a lot of stuff, since they feel like they don’t have enough time today to get all that make-up and have the hair done and take really good care of their body. but i think if we look bad we will fee bad too and also our body will thank us later, if we have taken good care of it. And who is more important like you. Nobody, remeber that! You are the most important person, so you should take good care of yourself.

Body

Every women should use exfoliation products and also moisturises on our skin. And then when you are ready go to the bed, don’t forget some nutrition creams. they will really make a lot with your skin in time you are sleeping and dreaming. Specially in the winter, it is very important to don’t forget moisturize your skin, but don’t forget about your hands and lips either. they might be all chapped and they will not really look healthy, so you better avoid any problems you can have. If you don’t have any balm, you can use honey instead.

Hair

The most important thing is of course shampoo to have your hair clean and then to use at least one’s a month mask for you hair to give them some nutritions. Usage of condition is very important to after you shampoo you hair. And then it is just on you what kinds of products are necessary for you.

Makeup

Foundation

you should have at least two shades of foundation. you skin is changing the color in the summer and the winter too and by mixing the lighter one and darker one, you should have the right shade for you every time in the year.

Powder

After foundation, there is necessary apply a powder. you just need to choose right shade for you or have one for summer and winter.

Lip gloss/lip stick

they will not only give your lips beautiful color and shape , but they will also moisturize your lips.

Eyeliner

Eyeliner make your eyes really look bigger when you apply it right and if you choose right color. there are so many of them and i think each of you should have at least one.

Mascara

who doesn’t want to have a long lashes? Each of us want to look the best we can and just the mascara can do a lot for you. At first is the best to apply a little bit of the powder on your lashes to get all the oil away from the lashes. then use a little curler and you are ready to apply mascara. After drying the first one, you can apply another one, second coat.

Beauty Tips – Conditioning Your Hair Naturally

Walk down the hair supply aisle in any store and you can find an overwhelming amount of hair care products for any hair type, color, or condition. Manufacturers devote a lot of time and energy into marketing and selling their merchandise. They claim their product can do everything and anything. But are you aware their product also may contain ingredients harmful to you, your hair, and your environment? For a fraction of the cost of buying expensive, over-the-counter brands, you can make your own beauty products in the comfort of your own kitchen. This is the only way to guarantee you are using the best and safest products on your hair.

Keeping in mind the fact that your hair doesnot really react positively to strong commercial chemicals that may be used in commercial over the counter conditioners. Yes they many give your hair a temporary shine and some bounce, but using them in the long run will cause you many problems. One of the biggest problems with over the counter conditioners is that they may need to be changed every now and then as your hair might get used to and finally immune to the chemicals used in them.

Conditioners are a popular commodity in the hair-care product line. Conditioners are used to soften hair, provide shine, moisture, and essential vitamins. Conditioners help control frizz, manage curls, and rescue dry and damaged hair. Effective hair conditioners can also be made from the contents of your refrigerator and cabinets. This isn’t a joke!

Take an egg out of the tray and find some vegetable or olive oil. Crack the egg in a bowl and mix in two teaspoons of the oil. Blend the ingredients well. Saturate your hair with the mixture. Pay close attention to the ends of the hair which generally are the driest parts. Let the conditioner set in your hair for about an hour. When the time is up, rinse the mixture out of your hair with cool water then shampoo hair as you normally would.

For a deeper conditioning treatment, try mayonnaise. Before bedtime, apply enough mayonnaise to coat your entire hair. Use your hands to work the mayo through all sections. Cover your hair with plastic wrap or a shower cap. Go to sleep. When you wake up, rinse the mayonnaise out of your hair with cool water. If you rinse in warm or hot water, the mayonnaise will be increasingly difficult to rinse out as the heat will set it.

For an even deeper conditioning treatment, warm a bowl of olive oil in the microwave. Be sure it does not boil over. Let it cool to a usable temperature to touch safely and apply to your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap and then apply a damp, hot towel over the top of the cap. The heat from the towel will help the hair to absorb the oil. Leave the oil on the hair for about an hour and then shampoo hair as usual.

Beauty really can be easy. It is also a fun journey to take trying different ideas and experiments of your own. You may try and research what particular items will affect your own hair conditions and needs. Make invention an adventure!

Conditioning your hair with homemade products may require some time and energy but they will certainly benefit your hair in the long run. Your hair certainly deserves the attention you can give it.

What beauty products every woman should have – Part 2

A woman’s confidence is related to her appearance, and the appearance of our faces is extremely important when making a first impression. I speak from experience in my work environment and as a former sales consultant for a major cosmetics company. I now use the line of cosmetics my daughter distributes, which has given me the opportunity to compare the philosophy and products of more than one manufacturer. As the first person to greet clients in the office, I need to look my best and give special attention to my appearance, especially my face and makeup.

Beauty products can be categorized as skin care products and makeup. Both are necessary for a finished look. Using the correct products for one’s skin type will improve the health and appearance of facial skin, and there are many studies documenting how women’s confidence and self-esteem are improved by the proper use of makeup. Right or wrong, research indicates that women who wear makeup are generally perceived more favorably by employers and the public at large.

Since even expensive, expertly applied makeup cannot adequately disguise problem skin, skin care items are the first necessity. Both skin care lines with which I am acquainted recommend a cleanser, a masque, a toner and a moisturizer, each with their specific function. Of course there are the additional “supplements” which may or not be needed to put your best face forward. Finding a consultant who can advise you and provide you with samples of her products is very helpful, especially if you are trying a high-end line. It can be a shock to learn the cost of these items, especially if you are used to picking up products at WalMart or the drugstore! It is worth it, though, as you will learn when you start to faithfully use your new skin care products.

When your facial skin is looking smooth and supple, you are ready for the “fun stuff”. Because your skin is healthy, it looks good, and you can often get by with a minimum of make up. Foundation evens out your skin tone and provides an even palette for your color products. A high quality foundation can be considered part of your skin care regimen, as it provides protection for the skin from contaminants in the environment, and often contains a sunscreen, as well. Foundation can look terrible if it is improperly applied. Foundation should exactly match your skin tone, or it will not look natural. It does not go on the neck-it should end at the jawline. Make sure there are no “misses”

Beauty Products Across the Ages

How did we as humans arrive at the point where we spend billions of dollars annually on cosmetics and it became the social norm for women to wear cosmetics everyday Certainly a lady way back in the past did not all of a sudden wake up one morning and make the decision to put on eyelashes, lipstick, eyeliner, base, and rouge all at once. As you probably guessed, it was a combination of thousands of years and a lot of learning experiences.

Who remembers the Egyptians? That was four millenia ago. Good hygeine and appearance were very meaningful to the people of Egypt. The Egyptians had faith that the appearance had a direct juncture with the constitution of the soul. They tried to always appear neat and smell good. And with a society who values their appearance, societies are inevitably going to have people who are going to attempt to stand out. But the Egyptians, being the innovative culture they were, had cosmetics for reasons that were even more intelligent than just trying to look great.

Mesdemet was the earliest kind of eye shadow- a mixture of copper with lead ore. The dark hues they believed would avert evil eyes from their own. It was also a great cleaner and insect deterrent. Kohl was a dark substance that was applied around the eyes in an oval shape. It was a mixture of lead, ash, ochre, copper, and burnt almonds. A mixture of red clay and water was added to the cheekbone area to further enhance their appearance. They would also paint their fingernails colors of orange and yellow with a substance named henna.

As different groups of people began to interact with each other more often, the practice of cosmetics was adapted by the Greeks from the Egyptians. Greek women would give themselves a pale hue with a foundation that had lead inside. This ended up being fatal on more than one occasion. As the Romans began to adapt the make-up habits, the pursuit of beauty became less about functionability and took a turn into much more peculiar routes. They would decorate their nails with a combination of sheeps blood and heated body fat. An ancient Roman citizen once said, A woman without paint is like food without salt.

A pale skin tone was the style around the world after the Egyptian civilization faded. Only women who were impoverished and had to work out in the field all day with their husbands had dark, tanned skin. The upper society ladies obviously did not participate in hard work like that so they were able to stay inside and had light faces.

Prosperity was often measured by a person’s light skin color. A person did not have to work if they had enough money. So it was very important for some socialites to have a white complexion. To achieve this appearance, women (and men as well) would apply a mixture of hydroxide, lead oxide, and carbonate in a powdered form to apply to their faces and skin. Unfortunately, this lead to a sometimes lethal side effect, lead poisoning. To remedy this, chemists in the nineteenth century finally found a mixture of zinc oxide that did not block the skin from being able to breathe and kept people out of that irritating lead poisoning sickness. It was so effective that it is still used today by cosmetics producers.

In the Edwardian era of London, around the change of the century of 1900, society women with a disposable income would throw lavishextravagant parties and do a bunch of entertaining to exhibit their wealth. As hostesses of the party, it was critical for them to be the best looking woman at the event, so it was crucially important for them to look the youngest they possibly could. Women in the past who experienced these extravagant lifestyles did not have good diets, would not work out, and breathed in the heavily polluted air that the cities of the past produced. Women would need products like anti-aging foams and face creams to help hide their imperfections. They would also travel to the salon. It was a bit different in the past than it is in the present. Women would go into the back entrance of the salons and cover their faces as they entered. One of the most famous of these discreet beauty salons was the House of Cyclax, who would sell foams and rouges to ladies. Mrs. Henning, who was the owner, sold and invented multiple products for her frenzied consumers who did not want everybody to know that they were getting old.

Today’s woman is the benefactor of years of trial and error with a practically unlimited choice of beauty products for any look they want to get. The make-up business has become a billion dollar industry with literally thousands of competing companies. Beauty products sell all year and even in times of depression. Therefore ladies, give thanks to your ancestors and their concern for their personal appearance for your own that you have today. There were possibly mornings when they woke up and didn’t really feel like going through the trouble of putting on their face either.

My top five beauty products – Part 2

How just a few things can make a big difference. Do you have a make up bag? Some women don’t because of the bulk they might carry. Keep it simple. Why carry things you may never use or rarely use. It’s time for a fresh new look, no bag full of goodies required! First of all, with all the long wear concealer out there, u shouldn’t have one in your bag. Get with the program and if you don’t got one, then go get one! If your just going out to the store try cleansing with COLD water to even out your skin tone. Here’s the “TOOLS TO USE”…

1) TINTED LIP GLOSS. Any brand should do you justice but I prefer something that will last and has not only flavor but super shine. Victoria Secret has a great selection that is so perfect, I almost regret sharing that tip!

2) BLUSH. Double use out of one perfect product! I like Revlon because they have this slight shimmer and seem to give u a radiant glow for cheeks and even eyes.

3) BROWN LINER. Bring out your eyes, brows or lips, depending on your style. Brown is an easy mix or match and goes with most skin tones. NYC brands work fine and the price makes it easier to buy and not feel bad.

4) DARK EYE SHADOW. Just in case your day out turns into a night out, a dark shadow can really add a dramatic and elegant look to most styles. Go with a shimmery Revlon dark shadow to spice up your look.

5) A CHEAP LITTLE BROW RAZOR! Great to have in case you missed a spot shaving, your eyebrows are growing in and you run into someone important or you have a stray hair on an embarrassing place. Little life saver razor, any brand does the job!
